Most men assume that successes are the result of just “being” smart. But being “smart” just means you learn fast. You still don’t know how to succeed until you learn how. And unfortunately the most common way of learning is by making mistakes.
I’ve had a lot of mistakes imposed in me, and I’ve made plenty of my own. Some of the insights I’ve learned are valuable in proportion to the misery I had to endure to earn them.
Stories are a way of passing experiences from one generation to another, so that each one doesn’t have to learn everything the hard way. I have a lot of stories to tell.
